 Style Meets Sun Protection 

Brand Brief:

Sunkissed Suncare is a clean beauty brand crafted with gourmet blends of organic milks, extracts, oils, and vitamins to hydrate, nourish, and protect the skin. We position sunscreen as a daily self-care ritual—because as poet Cleo Wade said, “If self-love says ‘I love you,’ then self-care says ‘prove it.’” Even on the busiest days, there’s always time to pause with intention and treat yourself with care.

The Challenge:

Design a brand that reclaims the narrative of sunscreen from a necessary preventative measure against sun damage and skin cancer to a sensory experience you seek at the start and end of your day. In a saturated market, reshape perceptions by reframing sun protection from a chore to a relaxing act of self-care or a joyful ritual shared with friends.

The Goal:

Position sunscreen as an SPF experience that supports well-being and reinforces its everyday importance, whether skiing, dancing, or lounging in the backyard. Design packaging that doubles as functional decor. By elevating form and storytelling, the brand reimagines sun protection as a daily act of self-love and self-respect, not just prevention.

The Result:

Built a unique brand identity that redefines how SPF is perceived to stay competitive in a saturated market. Developed a luxurious sun care brand positioned as a wellness-forward skin serum, housed in innovatively designed bottles. Unlike bulky competitors, these stylish, functional products bring modern elegance to any space, at home or on the go.

 Brand Direction:

After establishing the core concept, I led the brand direction for Sunkissed Suncare to reimagine SPF as an intentional self-care ritual. Through sun-washed tones, organic materials, and bottle forms inspired by softness and glow, the brand invites users to protect and nourish their skin with calm, everyday beauty.

 Creative Direction:

Sunkissed Suncare draws from the elegance of sea glass and the whimsical wonder of ocean life. Influenced by Spanglish and Aquamarine, the brand evokes the magic of coastal summers, blending nostalgia, joy, and a refined sense of everyday escape. It repositions sun care as a luxurious, feel-good ritual rooted in beauty and intention.

Art Direction:

The visual identity features soft curves, sun-washed tones, and organic textures inspired by sea glass and ocean life. Through Marie Bärsch’s luminous, cinematic photography, the brand captures sun-kissed skin, ethereal light, and the breezy sophistication of modern coastal beauty—inviting warmth, calm, and effortless everyday luxury and glow.
